Support Hawaiian Football: Ignite Transformative Change

18 Nā Wāhine celebrate their first-ever international goal at the opening match versus Māori Football Aotearoa in Auckland, New Zealand in 2023.

WAILUKU, MAUI — Hui Kanaka Pōwāwae, the driving force behind Hawaiian Football’s National Teams is excited to announce sponsorship opportunities and a donation drive aimed at leveraging the unifying power of global football to ignite transformative change. Beyond the boundaries of the pitch — our National Teams honor Hawaiian history, showcase Hawaiian culture, representing 21st-century symbols of aloha, aloha ‘āina (love of country), and aloha kānaka (love of humankind) on the international football stage.

In 2024, Hawaiian Football’s National Teams will be traveling to Northern California in May, then Hilo on Hawai‘i Island in July, for a series of matches between American youth club soccer and Māori Football Aotearoa teams. The international fixtures ignite Hawaiian Football’s vision and mission. Chair and Secretary General of Hawaiian Football, Trisha Kapua‘ala, states that “forming National Teams connects our players, opponents, and supporters to the language, history, and culture that will empower our future forward, while sharing Hawaiian values according to the needs of the international community — in dire need of aloha.”
