Overview

The Hawaiian Football Challenge ‘26 is a free prediction contest where participants forecast the outcomes of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Participants will make predictions for:

  • Group Stage winners and runners-up

  • Round of 32 winners

  • Round of 16 winners

  • Quarterfinalists

  • Semifinalists

  • Finalists

  • FIFA World Cup Champion

Participants will compete for points throughout the tournament, with the highest-scoring challengers advancing through each stage of the competition.

Eligibility

  • Open to participants of all ages.

  • One entry is permitted per person and email address.

  • Duplicate, fraudulent, or incomplete entries may be disqualified at the discretion of contest administrators.

Entry Deadline

  • All entries must be submitted by 9:00 a.m. HST on Thursday, June 11, 2026.

  • Once submitted, entries cannot be edited or changed.

  • No entries will be accepted after the deadline.

Scoring & Advancement

Group Stage

For each group:

  • Correct Group Winner: 3 points

  • Correct Group Runner-Up: 3 points

  • Correctly Predict Both Teams: Bonus 2 points

At the conclusion of the Group Stage, the top 50% of challengers (based on total points) will advance to the Round of 32.

Round of 32

  • Correct Match Winner: 4 points

At the conclusion of the Round of 32, the top 50% of remaining challengers will advance to the Round of 16.

Round of 16

  • Correct Quarterfinalist: 5 points

At the conclusion of the Round of 16, the top 10 challengers will advance to the Quarterfinals.

Quarterfinals

  • Correct Semifinalist: 6 points

  • Correct Finalist: 8 points

  • Correct World Cup Champion: 12 points

All points earned throughout the competition remain cumulative.

Advancement Rules

Advancement percentages will be calculated using the total number of eligible challengers remaining at the conclusion of each round.

If the calculated number of advancing challengers results in a fraction, the number will be rounded up to the nearest whole number.

Example: If 25 challengers remain after a round, the top 50% would equal 12.5 challengers. In this case, 13 challengers would advance.

Contest administrators reserve the right to adjust advancement procedures in the event of ties or unforeseen circumstances to ensure fair competition.

Tiebreakers

If two or more challengers finish with the same total score, ties will be broken in the following order:

  1. Correct World Cup Champion

  2. Correct Finalists

  3. Correct Final Match Score

  4. Most Knockout Round Points Earned

  5. Earliest Entry Submission Timestamp

Advancement Notifications

Participants who advance to the next round will receive a Google Form link via email to submit their next set of predictions.

Participants will be identified and tracked throughout the challenge using the email address provided at registration.

Failure to submit predictions by the deadline for any subsequent round will result in elimination from the challenge.

Leaderboard

Leaderboard updates may be published:

  • Following each Group Stage Matchday

  • After each Knockout Round

  • On Hawaiian Football website and social media channels

Leaderboard update schedules are subject to change.

Prizes may include:

Prize details and quantities may be announced throughout the tournament.

Conduct & Fair Play

Contest administrators reserve the right to:

  • Remove fraudulent entries

  • Disqualify duplicate accounts

  • Correct scoring or administrative errors

  • Modify contest rules when necessary to ensure fair competition

All decisions made by contest administrators are final.
