KE KIKOWAENA LAUAKI

TALENT CENTERS

About

Talent Centers — Ke Kikowaena Lauaki — is our cultural catalyst for Identifying, Developing and Showcasing football talent. By dismantling the pay-to-play model in youth sports, we provide access to world-class resources at no costs to players and their families. As a result, we impact over 300 of Hawai’i’s top players annually and provide unparalleled opportunities to top-tier competition.

Identify

We maintain regional player pools — Mokupuni — on each island to support our program objectives. The identification process starts with the scouting of local competitions, coach recommendations and our Player Registry. Players are invited to Talent Centers and evaluated by Hawaiian Football Technical Director, Ian Mork.

Develop

We believe that Talent Development requires top players to train with and against other top players, outside of their daily training environment, while competing to make future selections.  These essential components make up the high performance environment of our Ke Kikowaena Lauaki.

Showcase

To support our Identification and Development objectives we created the Hawaiian Football Showcase of Talents. Selections are made from each Mokupuni and brought together to compete in front of College, Professional and National Team staff. The event, in conjunction with Talent Centers, allow us to provide a credible pathway of exposure for top footballers at no cost.
