ABOUT THE FEDERATION

Hui Kanaka Pōwāwae (Hawaiian Football) is a Maui-based nonprofit organization established to represent Hawai‘i and Hawaiians through participation in the global game of football. Hawaiian Football oversees Nā ‘Ālapa Hawaiʻi, Hawai‘i’s National Football Teams, and advances national team and player development pathways supporting competitive participation across the Islands and the Hawaiian diaspora.

Hawaiian Football approaches its work guided by the values of pono, aloha ‘āina, and aloha kānaka, grounding National Team participation in kuleana to people, place, and ali‘i. Through football, the organization supports disciplined athletes, collective well-being, and pathways that extend beyond sport.

The organization’s vision is to sustain a footballing nation defined by character, accountability, and connection, with its National Teams serving as living expressions of Hawaiian identity, collective responsibility, and a sustained presence on the international stage.
